Other info ~ This piece is signed, titled and dated on the reverse. This painting requires NO additional framing or mounting.

I painted this piece over the course of two days in august of 2007 and it took approx seven hours in total, it is one of my favourite paintings to date.


City architecture is a theme which has featured heavily in my work for quite some time. (approx 9 years) I became fascinated by it whilst studying Le Corbusier at university.
I love the huge concrete structures he designed and have become quite obsessed with them.

Unlike Le Corbusier however, I like dense areas of the city building upon building. When you cannot tell where one ends and the next begins. I am captivated by row upon row of tiny windows, seeing into them and through them to the structures behind.

This picture makes my eyes go funny, but that's because the colours in this are so great to look at and the repeating image overlayed on one another just makes this composition look even better. :D
